ICC 2004 CONFERENCE BANQUET

Salons de Musique in the “Pavillons de Bercy”
Tuesday, 22 June 20:00- 23:30

The “Pavillons deBercy” gather three worlds on the same spot: Music Lounges (“Salons de Musique”), Itinerant Arts Museum (“Musée des Arts Forains”) and Venetian Lounges (“Salons Vénitiens).
The ICC 2004 is pleased to invite you on the Tuesday evening to the « Salons de Musique » in one of Paris’ most original heritage zones, including a Baroque Opera with Mechanical Music.
Since the 19th century, concert, cinema and dance organs, as well as pneumatic pianos, have chimed out all sorts of music, from classical and jazz to variety and French popular music. Early 20th century mechanical music pieces and a contemporary carillon are connected together in an exhibition orchestrating decorative features of music-hall, opera and theatre. Wax personalities from the Musée Grévin such as Debussy, Massenet, “La Goulue” and Toulouse-Lautrec are the lucky spectators of this unusual world whose surprising sonorities still resonate around our memories and sensitivities. They are also the guardians of games involving luck, strength, skill and chance, open to the guests.
Buses will leave Disneyland (departure around 18:30) to the “Pavillons de Bercy” and will return to Disneyland (departure around 23:30).
Banquet tickets are included with Full Member and Full Non-Member ICC 2004 registrations. Tickets can be purchased for conference guests and attendees with other types of ICC 2004 registrations. Please purchase tickets in advance with your ICC 2004 registration. Tickets will be available on-site as long as space is still available.
